What a week! OpenAI unleashed human interaction-shifting voice models, Pika bent reality with physics-defying videos, Wondercraft made AI voices editable—and so much more. Let’s get to it.

2. OpenAI Voice Mode

OpenAI just released its human-sounding voices and announced that developers can now build speech-to-speech applications using this tech. This unlocks the creation of natural customer service agents, companions, and so much more. The impact of this release is bigger than most realize—and it'll become evident pretty soon. Just when you thought the GenAI video space had its winners—Runway, Sora, maybe Synthesia with avatars—Pika drops an incredible new model that defies the laws of physics. They say AI just regurgitates its training data, but it sure as hell didn't see Putin getting squeezed like a balloon.
