Weekly Wonder 11
Hi Wondercrafters,
The “7 Weeks of Wonders” are wrapped up, and we’re back to our regular weekly schedule with the “7 Weekly Wonders”. You’d think a software for creatives would have more creativity in naming, right? Every week, I’ll bring you seven updates—a mix of highlights from the creative space, the startup scene, and Wondercraft updates. Excited to be back at it, so let’s dive in:
One of the standout content pieces at Cannes was an interview with the Chief Creatives at Meta and R/GA. These industry veterans not only have extensive experience in the creative space but have also experimented with AI tools. Both are convinced that creativity will never be replaced. Read more here.
2. Audio Production is About to Change Forever
As the capstone of our 7 Weeks of Wonders, we promised a release that would transform how audio is produced. That release is now in the hands of some first users, and the excitement is palpable. More people will gain access over the next days, leading up to our big launch on August 5th. Stay tuned!
With the launch of GPT-4o mini, it is now cheaper to generate LLM based content than the revenue you can make as a publisher from Google Ads. So technically, you could be forming articles on the fly to answer every question, and be making money from it. And if you’re generating on the spot, why not listen to it instead? Read more here.
Many things make Canva special, but above all, it's the simplicity of its design, enabling anyone to create graphics. That design was carefully crafted by people like Didier, the first Product Designer to join Canva, who grew to lead a team of 300. A couple of weeks ago, Didier joined Wondercraft and is now leading the creation of Canva for Audio. Read more here.
Tyler Denk is absolutely killing it right now. I don’t know him personally, but I admire the work he’s done to propel Beehiiv to its current success. Their marketing efforts are top-notch, with engaging video launches, appealing graphics, solid copy, and fantastic product updates. And you're reading this update thanks to his product. Keep it going, Tyler!
In 10 days, August 5th, we are unveiling the new Wondercraft. On the same day, we'll host an invite-only live web event to share tips and best practices for using the new interface. To allow for questions, we're limiting spots to 100 so it will be tight to get a spot. It’s first come, first serve, so you better be quick:
